We have a changing menu each season with ingredients that are in season. We source from local suppliers whenever possible.

At the Zaans Museum’s Museum Café, you can enjoy a delicious lunch, a snack, or a good cup of coffee with fresh pastries or savory snacks. Our selection includes the classic Verkade cookies and delectable chocolate.

From the café, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the traditional Dutch landscape of Zaanse Schans and its windmills. It’s a wonderful place to rest during a busy visit to the Zaan region.

Free Wi-Fi is available in the café. In the Zaans Museum, payment can only be made by debit or credit card.

We can also provide catering for small or large groups by request.

The Zaans Museum was founded in 1998 on the Zaanse Schans to guard and preserve the Zaan heritage.

The Hembrug Museum tells the story of the arms and ammunition factory that was located on the Hembrugterrein in Zaandam.

In 1697, the Russian Tsar Peter the Great stayed in this world-famous house in the center of Zaandam.
