Chocolate Experience

For the real sweet tooth! In the Verkade Experience at the Zaans Museum, discover how the Verkade girls made the tastiest biscuits and chocolate. Get a chocolate milk ‘to go’ in the MuseumCafé and take a walk through the Dutch landscape on the Zaanse Schans. Here you can smell the real scent of cocoa.

60 minutes Visit Verkade Experience including wrapper making.
30 minutes Walk Zaanse Schans including chocolate milk.

Included
Entrance to the Zaans Museum, Verkade bar 111 grams and a chocolate milk. Children up to 12 years old can colour their own wrapper to wrap the Verkade bar with.

Put on work clothes and get to work at Verkade! Take on the role of a Verkade girl, biscuit baker or cocoa expert.

Discover how hard it is to keep the digital biscuit oven running and test your dexterity with the games. Develop new saving campaigns and packaging for chocolate. Will you become director or will you be fired? Accompanied by a Museum teacher, you and your friends can follow a treasure hunt through the Verkade Experience and make your own wrapper for a customised Verkade bar. Lemonade with Verkade biscuits complete the party.

The Zaans Museum was founded in 1998 on the Zaanse Schans to guard and preserve the Zaan heritage.

The Hembrug Museum tells the story of the arms and ammunition factory that was located on the Hembrugterrein in Zaandam.

In 1697, the Russian Tsar Peter the Great stayed in this world-famous house in the center of Zaandam.
